The Course

Lamlash was the first golf club to be established on the Island.

In 1890 Willie Fernie of Troon (who won the Open in 1883) designed a nine-hole course. Developed by Willie Auchterlonie to an 18-hole layout in 1896 and redesigned by Fernie in 1908 to form much of the present layout. Undulating heathland course with superb views of the area. An undulating course revealing views of Goat Fell, Holy Isle and The Clyde.
